November 8th, 2011

Getting married is one of the best things that can happen to someone. All your life, you have been waiting for the right person to come and sweep you off your feet. And when that someone comes, you just want to take a few steps forward and make it last a lifetime by marrying this special person to be with for as long as you can. Some people prefer huge weddings, but some just want to keep it simple. For those who do not want to spend so much on their weddings, the beach is the best place to get married. This time of the day brings out the beauty of the island and the waves of the ocean. And then for accommodations and for your honey moon, you may get a lovely suite in one of the bahamas luxury hotels.

We Need to Go to Lots of Places!

September 2nd, 2011

My co-worker and I decided to ask our boss for a good SUV service in Maryland for our business travels. The truth of the matter is that we both are going to be needing to focus on our work, and we are definitely hoping to do a good job at it. We would love it if someone drove us around so that we don’t have to worry about navigation. I think that it will be a worthy investment. The boss agreed to it, and we are pretty stoked! We just thought that we were going to ask and that he was going to say no. This came as a surprise to us indeed, and I am glad that we asked. It never hurts to ask, I suppose! I think that it is a wonderful thing for me to look into, and I just know that there are so many things in life that I should not be afraid to ask for.

It's All in Iceland!

August 2nd, 2011

My friends have all told me just how much they enjoy their travel in Iceland. Honestly, I’m a little envious and I think that I need to accompany them on their next trip there. They took all of these pictures of the scenic tour that they made around Iceland and some of the photos were simply amazing. I really enjoyed hearing about the off road expedition that they took and some of the hotels they stayed at. I think this would even be something that a family could enjoy together. I might try to talk my mom and dad into going with me because the web site has a lot of information on it about family vacations. I know that my dad would definitely be interested in a hunting trip with me. I could see my mom enjoying an elegant hotel stay while she catches up on her books she wants to read.

New Zealand Rental Car for My Travels

August 1st, 2011

I was planning a trip to New Zealand to visit some family that I have not seen in about ten years. I thought that it would be a great trip to make with my bonus that I got this year. I had many airline miles that I needed to use up and I had three weeks of vacation to use as well. I thought that it was the best possible time to get over there and see them. I went online to get all of the arrangements made for my trip. I was able to find a hotel, my flight and a new zealand rental car to use while I am there. I cannot wait to get to go. I have never been there and I know that it is where many of my family members had come from. It is definitely going to be a trip of a lifetime.

A Great Place to Stay

July 1st, 2011

It all started with a missed flight. We were headed to Australia on a flight from China but because of delays we missed our connecting flight in Singapore. Fortunately Singapore has plenty of good hotels so we didnt have a problem finding a place to stay for the night. I tell you, once we got out into the city and saw everything there was to do there we decided to bump our flight back a few days. Our hotel was very modern but also very elegant and the city itself was packed with interesting cultural exhibits and things to do. There is a great mix of Chinese, SE Asian and even Indian cultures in Singapore that is topped off by people who are friendly, easy going and polite. And the food was exquisite, any cuisine you want you can find in Singapore. For a very unexpected detour it wound up being the high point of our trip out to Asia.

Planning a Family Reunion

June 22nd, 2011

This winter we decided that the whole family is going to get together and rent a few ski chalets for two weeks. We’ve never been one of those families that do a lot of family reunions or anything like that, but we’ve all been wanting to go skiing for a while now and it just seems to be falling together. I’m actually really starting to look forward to it. Skiing is one of my favorite pastimes and I really miss the snow. Besides, how often is it that I would get the chance to be with all my brothers and sisters and my parents same time. I just hope that this family reunion doesn’t turn into a big argument. Our families not usually too bad about that, we usually get along pretty well. But still, we’re all human and sometimes when you get everybody together after they’ve been used to doing everything their own ways, you remember what all those silly arguments you had when you were siblings were all about.

Visiting Rangitoto Island

June 20th, 2011

When you are out in New Zealand on a holiday you might want to visit what has given the land the majestic beauty that you have come to realise since you would have arrived. The land is mainly comprised of volcanic rock where the country is situated along a major fault line. This island is a volcano, one that last erupted 600 years ago, and offers great bird watching scenery, great swimming in the rivers and lakes as well as superb rock climbing and hiking trails. A trip to the top of the cone shaped mountain is the primary reason you will want to travel to the Maori named island. The name translates to “bloody sky” which gives you the sense of what the island may have looked like when it was named.

The Island is a must see when you are on a New Zealand holidays and is now attached to the non volcanic island of Motutapu.

Bristol Harbour Festival: Biggest Free Festival in the UK

May 26th, 2011

Here’s an excellent reason to visit Bristol while you are in the UK. 2011 sees the 40th annual Harbour Festival in Bristol between Sat. 23rd July and Friday 29th.

Numerous hotels and serviced apartments are available near the harbourside and I like these ones, right on the docks: serviced apartments (Bristol). You’ll be right at the centre of things and can escape for some peace and quiet when necessary!

Quite apart from the free events on the water such as dragon boat races, tall ships and a school’s build a boat competition, you can also go to ticketed events at the newly refurbished Colston Hall or the Tobacco Factory.

The Millenium Square, right on the docks, will play host to the dance stages where you can enjoy salsa, Bollywood, Hip Hop and ballet. Performers from across the South West will be taking to the stage and dancing their hearts out.

Local food and drink will take centre stage at the Good Living Zone in the Amphitheatre and visitors with be able to enjoy music and comedy here too.

If music is your thing, then Queen’s Square is the best place to be. Jazz, Reggae, Soul and Funk make an appearance this year.

For a great slice of South West England at its best, visit Bristol’s Harbourside Festival this summer!

Spain’s Social Security System

April 30th, 2011

British pensioners can receive other types of benefits in Spain as well. For example, free health care and winter fuel payments are offered. In order to make sure that you receive all of the benefits that are available to you via the Spanish social security system, you’ll need to see that all of your paperwork is in order. This article is intended to help you do just that.

This first thing you’ll need to acquire is a form E121. Upon moving to Spain, you should take this form to your local social security office, along with your NIE number. You will also need your padron and your Certificado de Registro. Upon presentation of these documents, you will be given a temporary card enabling you to arrange for health care with a local doctor. A plastic, permanent card will be mailed to you. Other types of people can qualify for these benefits as well. If you are employed, your employer will deduct social security payments from your wages, thus entitling you benefits in Spain. Make sure that they aren’t just paying you cash in hand instead.
